Former Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor is currently training with Championship side Sheffield Wednesday after being released by the Reds back in June.
33-year-old Taylor hasn’t played a league game since his loan spell at Birmingham City expired in May 2022, with the striker looking to join a Championship side despite interest from multiple League One clubs.
The Owls haven’t won in their opening seven league fixtures under new manager Xisco Munoz and currently sit 23rd in the Championship.
Wednesday have only scored five league goals this season, with Taylor potentially providing a solution to their problems in front of goal.

The former Forest striker was spotted in attendance at Hillsborough watching the Owls’ clash with Middlesbrough last night.
Today, boss Munoz confirmed that the striker was training with his side with a view to a permanent deal.
“We are trying to find one striker for us – we’re looking for somebody who can give us something different, something to improve the last third.
“We can improve at training every day and maybe in three months we are at the level, or we can find another one – so now he’s training with us, and after that, we’ll decide if he’s going to continue with us or not.

“Right now he’s an option, and we’ll evaluate whether he can give something special for the team and help the squad.
“He’s the sort of player that can give something different.”
Although the striker has endured a tough few campaigns, he could certainly prove to be a solid addition for Wednesday in England’s second tier.
