Brentford boss Thomas Frank has praised Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper ahead of the clash at the City Ground tomorrow afternoon.
The Bees boss was speaking at his pre-match press conference yesterday ahead of the encounter, with the Dane full of respect for the Reds and their boss.
In the two Premier League meetings between the sides last campaign, the Reds clinched a 96th-minute equaliser at the City Ground to secure a 2-2 draw, before losing 2-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium after two late goals from Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva.
The pair also have a history of facing off. They met in the Championship, with Frank defeating Cooper in the play-off final, during the Welshman’s stint at Swansea City.

Thomas Frank on Steve Cooper
Speaking in his pre-match press conference yesterday, Brentford boss Frank praised Cooper for the organisation of his sides – admitting that he finds it difficult to break his teams down.
“Steve Cooper knows what he’s doing in terms of attacking and defensive organisation.
“He does these things very well.
“Every team learns from year to year and tries to add things. They are finding out more and more what their go-to team is.
“They look stronger than last year.”

Taking advantage of Brentford’s current injury worries
Brentford currently have seven first-team players out through either injury or suspension.
Notable players such as Toney, Ben Mee, Kevin Schade and Rico Henry are all out until the new year at the very earliest, with the Bees struggling to hit the heights they achieved last season.
Frank’s side currently only have one win in the league, with Cooper’s side looking to inflict more pain on the Dane and his men this weekend.
