Jermaine Jenas raved about Nottingham Forest midfielder Ibrahim Sangare as the Reds drew 1-1 against Brentford yesterday. The Ivorian was making his third appearance for the club since a transfer on deadline day from PSV.

Forest were forced to settle for a share of the spoils. They played for way over an hour with 10 men against the Bees and a goal from Nicolas Dominguez cancelled out the opening goal scored by Christian Norgaard.

Forest star Sangare has been getting up to speed with the demands of the Premier League. It’s fair to say that he does look better with two other midfielders alongside him, with Orel Mangala and Dominguez starting in midfield yesterday.

Jenas raves about Sangare after Forest draw

The man who came through the club’s academy and earned them £5 million when he signed for Newcastle is fond of the club. He was on duty for Match of the Day 2 yesterday and he praised Sangare.

He said: “On the game, I thought there was a couple of positives. Sangare, in particular, in the midfield area, he looks like he’s going to add a lot to the side.”

The player looks like he will be an exceptional player for the Reds. At 25-years-old, he has bags of time on his side and hopefully, he can continue kicking on this season.

Cooper has Sangare conundrum

The challenge for the head coach is to ensure that Sangare gets up to speed at Forest as quickly as possible. He will likely do that by playing games and the midfield area now looks strong.

Sangare has come to Forest from the Eredivisie. In Holland, the games aren’t played at the same speed as the Premier League but so far he has looked pretty comfortable in all three games he’s played.

Sangare will hope to continue playing regularly for the team as the season progresses for Forest. He’s going to prove a sound investment for the club and the hope will be that he can really start to show his true colours in the coming weeks.
