Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has spoken about Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper ahead of the clash at Selhurst Park this evening.
The 76-year-old, who takes charge of his 400th Premier League game today, was full of praise for the Forest boss and what he’s achieved in such a short period.
Hodgson was only in charge for one of the meetings between the two sides last campaign, with the game finishing 1-1 at Selhurst Park on the final day.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference yesterday, Hodgson admitted he has nothing but praise for the 43-year-old.

Roy Hodgson on Steve Cooper
Hodgson spoke well of the Forest boss, claiming he’s done a ‘wonderful’ job at the City Ground.
“He’s done a wonderful job. He worked with a friend of mine, Keith Downing, to win that [Under-17s] World Cup [in 2017] and he did a wonderful job with the FA.
“Since leaving that FA job behind to come into senior football at Nottingham Forest, it’s been nothing but success all the way. One can only admire that and congratulate him on the success that he’s had.
“Now he’s in Premier League football like the rest of us, I’m sure the early successes with England are just a happy memory.”

Huge opportunity for Forest
If there was ever a good time to play Crystal Palace, today would be it.
The Eagles are without key players Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Cheick Doucoure all through injury, with Joel Ward also a doubt for the encounter.
Although the Reds’ away record hasn’t been great since promotion last season, today is a great opportunity to collect a rare three points away from the City Ground.
