Darren Fletcher believes that two Nottingham Forest players are now integral to the team. He has praised the performances of Nicolas Dominguez and Ibrahim Sangare after promising starts.

The Reds landed both midfielders on transfer deadline day. Sangare was added at the eleventh hour after the club had courted his signature all summer.

Dominguez was signed in a deal that included Remo Freuler going to Bologna on a season-long loan. The 25-year-old has been a fantastic addition and he looks extremely useful.

Fletcher thinks two Forest stars now have to play

After another pretty hectic summer, Forest now have options all over the park. The big challenge for Steve Cooper is to find a winning eleven that can hopefully play on a consistent basis.

According to Fletcher, in Dominguez and Sangare, Forest now have two who cannot be benched. He’s been discussing the options available and he’s a huge fan of the Forest newcomers.

He told the Garibaldi Red Podcast: “He (Dominguez) was known in Italy as the King of the Press and you can see why when you see him. I don’t think there’s any necessity at this stage to rank Sangare and Dominguez I think we’re just delighted to have the pair of them.

“I think when we talk about the central midfield position. Whatever system you play, those two have got to play, haven’t they?”

Sangare and Dominguez are quality Forest additions

Both players represent a positive step in the right direction on the transfer front for Forest. The pair are building up a decent relationship on the pitch and there is more to come.

Forest are fortunate to have both players. Signing one of them in the summer would have made for a good window but getting both over the line just highlights the ambition that the club has.

It’s extremely exciting to see how these two players can develop at Forest. Fletcher is spot on with his assessment that both are undroppable and hopefully head coach Cooper shares that sentiment.
