Morgan Gibbs-White thinks his Nottingham Forest teammate is ‘perfect’ to play alongside

Nottingham Forest forward Morgan Gibbs-White has raved about Callum Hudson-Odoi. The pair have known each other for many years and have now been reunited at the City Ground.

Gibbs-White and the man Forest signed in the summer transfer window won the under-17 World Cup in 2017 under the influence of Steve Cooper. Now, the pair will hope to continue their formidable relationship.

Forest have already seen a glimpse of what Hudson-Odoi can do. He curled in an unstoppable equaliser as the Reds drew 1-1 with Burnley and Gibbs-White is excited to play alongside him again.

Gibbs-White raves about Hudson-Odoi after Forest arrival

Gibbs-White has been quizzed on the signing of Hudson-Odoi. It’s fair to say that he’s delighted to be playing alongside the winger once again at Forest.

He told Premier League Productions: “I’ve known Callum since I was 16 so I know what he’s like. When I was growing up one-on-one, he was the best; the best I’ve ever played against, the best player I’ve seen.

“I just know what he likes, I know what he wants. I know where he wants the ball, he’s not only a one-on-one player, he wants the one-twos, he wants to combine.

“For me, he’s just the perfect winger to want to want to play with because he will run in behind, come short and I just love him and playing with players like that.”

Gibbs-White and Hudson-Odoi could really star at the City Ground

It’s quite exciting to see what Forest can achieve with these two players in the final third. Hudson-Odoi already looks like he is a very exciting player and Forest fans know what Gibbs-White is capable of.

The two players already have chemistry on the pitch with each other and there will be more to come. The challenge for Cooper is to get the pair playing well together and that in turn should help Forest.

It’s interesting to hear what Gibbs-White feels that Hudson-Odoi can offer at the City Ground. Now, the fan base will hope that the man signed from Chelsea can get back to his very best in the coming months.
