Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga has heaped praise on head coach Steve Cooper. The Reds performer has been picking his perfect footballer based on a number of criteria.
Forest signed Elanga from Manchester United for £15 million this summer. He’s been working hard to get a place in the team this season and started Saturday’s game with Luton.
Cooper was keen to bring Elanga to Forest as he prepared to lose Brennan Johnson to Tottenham. On his early season form, it’s evident that the player’s blistering pace is what caught the eye of the head coach.
Elanga makes interesting claim about Cooper
The Forest winger was asked to pick an ideal football, picking a different player for a number of different categories. At the end, he was asked who would get in based on man-management.

Elanga thought carefully before picking Forest head coach Cooper during his chat with the Daily Mail. It firmly reiterates that the players love playing under the Forest boss even if results haven’t been good lately.
The 21-year-old has worked to get a chance in the Forest team. He’s only made three starts since arriving at the club but with Callum Hudson-Odoi now injured he should feature more often.
Cooper and Elanga will hope to revive Forest fortunes
Although the Reds haven’t won since they beat Chelsea back in September, Forest have only lost to Manchester City, with draws coming in four of the last five matches.
Forest landed seven new players on transfer deadline day and a mini settling-in period has taken place. As a result, that has led to some scratchy results of late.
Elanga is going to be a big player for Forest this season given his electric pace. His attitude is spot on and hopefully, he can help the Reds climb the Premier League table in the coming weeks.
