Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper might have a decision to make over Matt Turner and one journalist has suggested Odysseas Vlachodimos should be playing.
The American goalkeeper was in pretty erratic form against Liverpool yesterday. Shay Given felt he was at fault for two goals during the 3-0 defeat.
Turner signed for Forest in the summer from Arsenal. At the time he was always going to be the first choice but now that might be about to change.
The Reds landed Vlachodimos from Benfica on transfer deadline day. The Greece number one has been made to wait patiently but his chance could now come.
Journalist suggests Vlachodimos should be playing for Forest
Cooper will be tearing his hair out this week in training. He now has a huge call to make for the first time this season as he ponders who to start in goal against Aston Villa next week.

The Sun journalist Konstantinos Lianos covers European football and he knows who he thinks should be playing in the Forest goal.
He took to Twitter after yesterday’s game and kept things short and sweet, saying: “All I’m going to say is Odysseas Vlachodimos is a brilliant goalkeeper.”
Vlachodimos now deserves a chance
Having waited patiently since he checked in, the Greece number one has to be given a go. He’s got an abundance of experience in European competition and ultimately he’s familiar with the pressure of being the first choice.
Vlachodimos is pushing Turner hard. Clearly, the current number one at Forest is feeling the pressure and two of the three goals yesterday could perhaps have been prevented.
Cooper will never have a better chance to give Vlachodimos a game. Now, all eyes will be on the head coach when it comes to naming his team for next Sunday’s game.
