Although he’s yet to start a Premier League game for the club, Brandon Aguilera has suggested that he is ready to feature for Forest this weekend.
The 20-year-old, who joined Forest from Alajuelense in 2022, has been a regular for the Reds’ B-Team so far this campaign.
However, due to Steve Cooper’s injury crisis in the attacking third, the Costa Rican youngster found himself on the bench during the 2-2 draw against Luton Town.
Despite not being part of the squad at Liverpool last weekend, the injury to Chris Wood could see the talented 20-year-old feature in the matchday squad once more.

Aguilera takes to Instagram ahead of Villa clash
Ahead of the game at the City Ground on Sunday, Aguilera posted a photo of himself on Instagram in training – suggesting he’s ready to play a part for Cooper’s side this weekend.
The 20-year-old is certainly edging closer to a Premier League appearance, one which will be thoroughly deserved when the opportunity arises.
He’s been in great form for the Forest B-Team, including a great strike against Newcastle United only a couple of weeks ago.
Massive progression in such a short time for Aguilera
Aguilera was sent out on loan last season with very limited success. First, he went to Guanacasteca before securing a move to Estoril to end the season, although he didn’t play a senior game in Portugal.
Forest chose not to loan out the 20-year-old this summer. Instead, he’s been working hard with the B-Team and has been a crucial part of the Premier League 2 campaign under boss Warren Joyce.
There is no doubt, his time will come. He’s rated very highly by Cooper, reflected by the fact he went away with the Forest first-team during pre-season for their training camp to Spain.
