Stuart Broad has raved about Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White. The 23-year-old captained the Reds for the first time on Sunday and the England cricket icon has been wowed by him.
Forest won 2-0 against Aston Villa on Sunday. Broad will get plenty of time to get down to the City Ground now, with the England man calling time on his cricket career after The Ashes during the summer.
Gibbs-White has now made 50 appearances for Forest during his career. He was signed in the summer of 2022 from Wolves and he could eventually cost the club around £42.5 million.
Broad raves about Gibbs-White
The man who served England with distinction as a cricketer was on TalkSPORT yesterday morning. He heaped a ton of praise on Steve Cooper but also wanted to mention Forest star Gibbs-White too.

The man who helped England win the Under-21 European Championships in the summer is respected on Trentside. He’s in the leadership group created by Cooper and clearly, he has a big influence.
Broad is a huge fan and told TalkSPORT: “Morgan Gibbs-White for me he’s one of the best I’ve seen at the City Ground, his creativity, yesterday he was captain and he’s sprinting around in the 90th minute putting big tackles in. I love players who are full of passion and full of commitment.”
Forest have a real gem in Gibbs-White
This season hasn’t quite gone according to plan for Gibbs-White at Forest just yet. he’s still perhaps feeling the impact of not having much of a pre-season but he’s still done okay.
Gibbs-White is a very important player within the squad. Indeed, if Forest are going to keep climbing the Premier League table, they need their creative spark to shine.
It’s quite scary how good Gibbs-White can become and playing under Cooper will definitely help him. The challenge for him in the short-term is to hit the goal and assist trail with Forest.
