Nottingham Forest had Wilfred Ndidi on their list of transfer targets this summer but not Barcelona and Tottenham are both considering a move.
The Leicester City midfielder is currently injured. However, that hasn’t stopped clubs from monitoring his situation ahead of the January transfer window.
Ndidi was a target for Forest before they managed to sign Ibrahim Sangare on transfer deadline day.
Following the arrival of the Ivorian, the Reds chose to look elsewhere. Nicolas Domingues and Andrey Santos also signed for Forest in the summer transfer window.
Ndidi now fancied by Tottenham
According to Punch Sports in Nigeria, the midfielder is now a target for Tottenham. They’ve already signed James Maddison from Leicester and are eyeing another raid.
Forest will be keeping tabs on the situation with Ndidi. They did manage to get a few midfielders in, however, and perhaps that area of the pitch isn’t of immediate concern.

Ndidi has been a regular in the Leicester team this season. He’s made 15 appearances, scoring three goals and claiming four assists, with the Foxes on course for an immediate return to the Premier League.
Ndidi would have some players to help him settle at Forest. The Nigerian knows Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina from his time playing for the national team.
Forest target Ndidi wanted by several clubs
Tottenham and Barcelona will provide very attractive propositions. Leicester will be in a tricky spot too, with the player coming to the end of his contract next summer.
Forest will probably look to ride this one out with Ndidi. They’re not desperate for a midfielder of his ilk and will perhaps make their move if they can get him for free next summer.
Brendan Rodgers would certainly endorse any move that the Forest-linked Ndidi made. He called him ‘incredible’ when he was managing the player for Leicester.
