Nottingham Forest central defender Murillo has made a big claim about manager Steve Cooper and the team this season.
Murillo has noted just what Forest can achieve under Cooper in this campaign.
So, what has the 21-year-old Brazilian defender said about Nottingham Forest and manager Steve Cooper? Let’s take a look.
Murillo outlines Nottingham Forest ambition under Steve Cooper
Well, Nottingham Forest are doing relatively well at the moment. Last season, Forest were in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship, but things are looking much better this time around.
Forest are 15th in the Premier League table now with 13 points from 13 matches. The Reds are as many as eight points above the relegation zone.
Now, of course, I know that it is only the start of December. Things could get very tricky in the coming weeks and months, but Forest do not look to be in danger of getting into a relegation fight.
Murillo has praised Steve Cooper and is determined to repay the faith he has shown in him. There is speculation that the Forest manager is under pressure.

However, the defender, who has done well this season, believes that under Cooper, Forest could challenge for the European places in the Premier League table.
The 21-year-old Brazilian centre-back made the move to Forest from Corinthians in the summer of 2023.
Murillo told The Telegraph: “The coach has shown faith in me and I want to repay him with my personality on the pitch.
“We have a quality team that can achieve a lot. It’s still very early in the season and if we click, and stay united, we can even compete for European competition.”
Nottingham Forest need to be realistic
In my view, Nottingham Forest need to be realistic about what they will be able to achieve this season.
Yes, aiming for the European places is really great, but I believe that the Reds need to focus on just making sure that they finish above the bottom three in the Premier League table this season.
