Gabriel Agbonlahor has now shared whether he thinks Steve Cooper should be sacked by Nottingham Forest.

The Reds were battered 5-0 by Fulham last night, leaving Cooper to sweat over his position as the head coach.

Forest were simply rolled over at Craven Cottage and after Alex Iwobi scored on 30 minutes, the game was over as a contest.

Cooper has been in charge of the Reds since September 2021, taking over when the club were at the bottom of the Championship.

He’s worked wonders to get the club into the Premier League but now his time in charge could be coming to a sad conclusion.

Agbonlahor delivers his verdict on Forest boss Cooper

The TalkSPORT pundit was quizzed on Cooper and his position at Forest this morning live on air.

It’s fair to say that Agbonlahor thinks Forest should be considering making a change at this moment in time.

He was asked by Alan Brazil whether he thought Cooper should now be under pressure at the City Ground.

Agbonlahor said on TalkSPORT (07/12; 06:27am): “Yes! You look at those who are below them, you look at the six points Everton are below Forest and Everton lost 10 points, it’s not good enough.

“If you’re going away to Fulham and you’re losing 5-0, I think as a manager you should know that your time is up, to be honest.”

Agbonlahor makes good points about Cooper

It’s hard to be positive after last night’s defeat to Fulham. Indeed, Stuart Pearce thought the scenes at the end were extraordinary given the nature of the defeat.

Forest were miserable throughout and Cooper deserved more from his players. They seriously let him down and they didn’t deserve the applause at the end.

Cooper has done amazing things for the football club since he arrived at the City Ground. Now, he could be the one set to bite the bullet due to some underwhelming performances.

Agbonlahor does have a point though. Forest are slipping towards relegation and ultimately one win in 11 games with this squad simply isn’t good enough.
