That is according to BBC Sport, which has noted how the Forest fans reacted when Johnson was substituted at the City Ground.

So, what is being reported about Nottingham Forest fans and Brennan Johnson? Let’s take a look.

Nottingham Forest lose to Tottenham Hotspur

Well, Nottingham Forest took on Tottenham Hotspur at the City Ground on Friday evening.

Forest lost 2-0. Richarlison scored the opening goal for Tottenham in first-half injury time. Dejan Kulusevski scored the second in the 65th minute.

Spurs went down to 10 men when Yves Bissouma was sent off in the 70th minute. Steve Cooper’s side, though, could not take advantage of their numerical superiority.

Nottingham Forest fans react to Brennan Johnson injury

Just as I predicted would happen, Brennan Johnson started for Tottenham against Forest. It was the first time that the forward was returning to the City Ground since leaving for Spurs in the summer of 2023.

The Wales international forward started on the right of an attacking midfield-three in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Johnson had to come off in the 32nd minute after a clash of heads. According to BBC Sport, when the forward was getting substituted, there were lots of chants of “he’s one of our own” from the Forest fans.

It was a really classy gesture from the Forest fans. Johnson is now a rival player, yet the City Ground faithful still love him and adore him.

I hope that the Wales international forward is fine now after the clash of heads. He is a very good player, and I believe that he could go on to be a big star in the coming years.

Meanwhile, these are worrying times at Forest after yet another defeat in the Premier League.
