Stan Collymore has offered his reaction as Nottingham Forest prepare to replace Steve Cooper with Nuno Espirito Santo. The Reds have this afternoon called time on the 44-years-old’s tenure, according to a number of reports.
Collymore is a legend on Trentside. He’s always had the club’s best interest at heart and he will be keen to see the Reds kick on up the Premier League under the new head coach.

Espirito Santo is flying into England later tonight to chat with Forest. It’s anticipated that he will be named as the new head coach ahead of Saturday’s game against Bournemouth.
Collymore reacts to Espirito Santo news
The man who served the club with distinction before signing for Liverpool has some reservations. However, he has also given some positives about the potential appointment.
Espirito Santo will join after a spell with Al-Ittihad where he won the Saudi Arabian league title. He was sacked over political issues after the team lost to a club from Iran.
Collymore tweeted a post earlier today with his thoughts on Forest choosing Espirito Santo as the man to replace Cooper going forward. It claimed:
Espirito Santo isn’t without risk for Forest
The 49-year-old has been out of work in England for some time and hopefully, he can get back into the swing of things pretty quickly.
He does have a five-point buffer to play with in terms of being above the relegation zone and he must get some points on the board pretty quickly.
Espirito Santo is a good head coach and ultimately, he does perhaps feel that he has a point to prove in the Premier League with Forest.
Only time will tell whether or not this is a good decision. Collymore has given a balanced argument on Espirito Santo to Forest. Now, it will be fascinating to see how this one goes.
