This news comes from a report by the Daily Mail.

So, what exactly is the situation involving Gibbs-White and Tottenham? Let’s take a look…

Tottenham watching Morgan Gibbs-White

The big six Premier League outfit are already getting their ducks in a row ahead of the summer transfer window.

It’s been reported by the Daily Mail, that Tottenham have watched Forest star Gibbs-White as they plan their summer recruitment.

Tottenham have a history when it comes to signing Forest players.

Most recently, they took Brennan Johnson from Forest for £50 million and now they’ve got their eye on another star player.

Michael Dawson and Andy Reid are two other players who have gone from Forest to Tottenham over the years and history could repeat itself.

Gibbs-White has scored three goals and claimed three assists this season and at 23, he’s now a player who seems to be firmly on Tottenham’s radar.

Forest can command huge Gibbs-White fee

Tottenham – and several other big clubs – will naturally be looking at Gibbs-White as a potential signing.

Whether they can realistically sign the standout performer, however, is a completely different matter entirely.

For starters, Gibbs-White will be two years into a long-term contract at the end of this season so there is no danger of him running that down just yet.

Secondly, Forest paid a fee that could rise to potentially £40 million for Gibbs-White and they will want a decent fee in return.

Selling the player won’t be in the club’s mind at all and Daniel Levy is going to have to dig deeper than he did for Johnson if he wants Gibbs-White.

Forest will hold all the aces in this potential interest from Tottenham.

As long as the Reds remain in the Premier League they will have every right to command a very big fee to even consider selling Gibbs-White.
