£30m-rated star unfancied by Steve Cooper at Forest now wanted by Tottenham

Loic Bade left Nottingham Forest without making a single first-team appearance and now he’s on the radar of Tottenham.

That’s according to Estadio Deportivo.

So, what exactly is happening with Loic Bade following his time with Forest? Let’s take a look…

Tottenham now want Loic Bade

Well, this couldn’t be any more frustrating from a Forest perspective. The man that Steve Cooper simply refused to play is now a Tottenham target.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Tottenham had identified Bade as an alternative if Radu Dragusin had opted for Bayern Munich instead.

A move for the Romanian does now look to be on the horizon for Tottenham, with Forest previously linked with Dragusin.

Bade was viewed as an alternative but it seems quite clear that he’s firmly on the radar of the North London club.

The player has a release clause in his contract with Sevilla of 50 million, although it’s thought that the La Liga outfit would sell for £30 million.

Forest will rue not playing Bade

In our view, this is another pretty poor indictment of Steve Cooper. He never even gave him a chance at a time when Steve Cook, Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall were all regulars in the team.

Bade saw Forest terminate his loan at the City Ground in January and he went onto lift the Europa League with Sevilla.

In fairness, the Reds did sign Felipe but he’s hardly proven a long-term option and has spent most of this season injured.

Some will point to the fact that ever Rafa Mir went to Sevilla and did well but the odds are against Cooper when it comes to his stubbornness over Bade.

Things just feel a bid different with the 23-year-old Bade, however, and it will forever remain a mystery whey the departed Forest boss never picked him.
