Michael Brown praised Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood after his goal against Brentford yesterday.
The pundit was covering the game for BBC Sport.
So, what has Brown said about Forest striker Wood? Let’s take a closer look…
What Michael Brown said about Chris Wood during Forest defeat
Well, it would appear as though the man who played for Fulham and Tottenham in the Premier League is a fan of Wood.
The 32-year-old was once again spearheading the Forest attack and in the 65th minute, he scored what has to be considered a trademark Wood goal.
A teasing ball from Callum Hudson-Odoi had the Brentford defenders stranded as Wood leapt to nod home an equaliser.
Brown was impressed and claimed that Forest striker Wood lives for those situations on the pitch.
He told BBC Sport: “It’s all about the delivery from that wide left area.

“The ball fizzes across the face of the goal, and Chris Wood loves that type of delivery, he knows exactly what to do with that.
“Hudson-Odoi swings the ball in from the right and Wood nods it past the keeper! Game on!”
Brown right to praise Wood after strong performance
The experienced talisman just continues to defy his critics and in our view, Wood is growing as the main man in the Forest attack.
After signing from Newcastle for £15 million – and on £100,000-a-week, Wood has taken some flak from supporters.
In fairness, last season, he did look somewhat out of sorts and managed to score just a single goal for the Reds.
This season, however, he’s returned fitter and stronger than ever, with his goal yesterday his ninth of the season for the Reds.
Wood’s style of play ensures that he isn’t everyone’s cup of team and he largely comes alive in the penalty area.
However, he finished the game with the captain’s armband yesterday and clearly, he’s a leader within the dressing room.
With Taiwo Awoniyi out injured, all Wood can do is keep scoring and after his performance yesterday it was nice to hear Brown give him some credit.
