Well, it would appear that Forest are back at the table to try and sign the player who is surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

According to The Irish Sun, Forest are now preparing to make another offer for Chalobah after making a bid for him in the summer.

Forest are now keen to sign the defender on a loan until the end of the season – allowing Nuno Espirito Santo to take a look at him.

Chalobah hasn’t played for seven months with a hamstring problem and as a result, a loan fee could cost Forest just £1 million.

The 24-year-old is way down the pecking order under Mauricio Pochettino and the Blues tried to offload him in the summer.

Forest tried to sign Chalobah during the last transfer window, with Steve Cooper liking him.

Who is Trevoh Chalobah?

The Blues performer typically plays as a central defender, although he can operate in defensive midfield.

Chalobah is a product of the Chelsea youth academy and he’s made 63 appearances for the senior ranks during his career.

The versatile performer has also played for Ipswich, Huddersfield and Lorient and now he looks set to embark on the next stage of his career.

It was no surprise that Forest wanted Chalobah when Cooper was in the hotseat given that he managed him when he was the England under-17 manager.

Rio Ferdinand has praised Chalobah in the past. He called him ‘unbelievable’ after he’d scored against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
