Napoli are now ready to walk away from a deal to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Orel Mangala this month.
This comes from Area Napoli.
So, what is happening with Forest midfielder Mangala – and will he remain at the club? Let’s take a closer look…
Napoli ready to walk away from Forest midfielder Orel Mangala
Well, it would appear as though the Serie A outfit have finally had enough of trying to negotiate with Evangelos Marinakis.
According to Area Napoli, the Serie A outfit are now going to walk away from a deal for Mangala after failing to agree a price with Forest.
It was claimed last week that Forest star Mangala had agreed personal terms with Napoli and that a deal was set to get the green light.

However, the Naples-based outfit are now moving to sign Leander Dendoncker from Aston Villa on a loan deal instead.
Mangala had been drawing attention from Juventus earlier in the window too and it remains to be seen if they’re still interested.
Forest must now keep Belgian midfielder
At 25-years-old Mangala is a player that could be a starter on Trentside for many years to come and as a result, the club needs to keep him.
If Mangala can keep his place in the team and help Forest survive relegation again, his valuation could skyrocket.
The player fetched up 50 appearances for the club recently and right now, Forest need Mangala amid injuries and players at the African Cup of Nations.
Mangala is a fan favourite at the City Ground and Napoli walking away from their deal is bound to be a popular piece of news from a fan perspective.
This could be one to watch, however. The reports have claimed that Mangala was keen to depart Forest and it now remains to be seen if he will get his wish.
