Florian Plettenberg has been delivering another update on Nottingham Forest and their attempts to sign Gio Reyna from Dortmund.
This time he’s been speaking with Sky Sports.
So, what update has Plettenberg delivered on Reyna and a possible move to Forest? Let’s take a closer look…
Florian Plettenberg gives update on Gio Reyna to Nottingham Forest
Well, this is certainly a story that appears to be gathering pace, with just over a week to go until the transfer deadline.
Now, Plettenberg has been asked to deliver any possible update on Reyna joining Forest by the media.
It would appear as though personal terms have been agreed between Reyna and Forest – but there is still work to do in order to complete the deal.
Plettenberg told Sky Sports News: “We got information yesterday that there is a total verbal agreement between Forest and Reyna about a loan deal in the next days. But, there is still no concrete offer on the table to Dortmund from Forest and the talks between the clubs about the structure are ongoing.

“Forest are pushing to include an option to buy in the deal but the player is keen to leave Dortmund, he’s keen to join Forest and we are convinced that he will receive the green light for a loan deal from Dortmund to Forest in the next days.”
Forest will welcome new additions this month
Given how many players Forest have signed since promotion, it sounds almost mental to suggest that new signings are needed.
However, with the African Cup of Nations in full swing and the injuries stacking up, a couple of players wouldn’t go amiss.
Reyna to Forest looks like the sort of signing that most fans will be able to get on board with.
The player might well be a client of Jorge Mendes but ultimately, he’s young, has lots of potential and has also played 120 times for Dortmund.
Naturally, Reyna will have to be judged on what he achieves at Forest.
However, if the club agree to place a clause that allows the club to buy him if the loan is successful, this could prove a very useful deal indeed.
