Nottingham Forest are trying to bring Giovanni Reyna to the City Ground in the final days of the January transfer window.
That is according to Bild journalist Christian Falk, who has reported that there have been offers for the Borussia Dortmund youngster.
So, what has been reported about Nottingham Forest and Giovanni Reyna? Let’s take a look.
Nottingham Forest trying to sign Giovanni Reyna in January
Well, Christian Falk has reported that Nottingham Forest are trying to sign Giovanni Reyna from Borussia Dortmund in the final days of the January transfer window.
The Bild journalist has claimed that Marseille are also keen on Reyna, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

The reporter has said that Dortmund are not happy with the offers that they have received for the 21-year-old.
Falk told CaughtOffSide: “Nottingham Forest are one of the clubs who are interested in Giovanni Reyna. Marseille are also in the race. What I have heard is that the offers Dortmund have received thus far are not good enough.
“So they told Reyna that he has to bring better offers. They want to wait until the end of the end of the winter transfer window. I heard there’s yet to be a new offer at the moment.”
My View: Giovanni Reyna would be a coup for Forest
In my opinion, Borussia Dortmund winger Giovanni Reyna would be a very good signing for Nottingham Forest, not just for now, but for years to come as well.
Reyna may have failed to make a huge impact at Dortmund this season, but he is supremely talented and has a lot of potential. I believe that the American star would be a coup for Forest.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland played with the USA international at Dortmund, and the Norway international striker was hugely impressed by him.
In April 2020, Haaland told ESPN about Reyna: “He’s 17-and-a-half soon, so in such a young age to be so calm on the ball and play for such a big team, it’s very fascinating to see how calm he is and he doesn’t care about anything, he just jumps right into it.
“He’s a top talent, and we’re lucky to have him here. The American Dream, I call him that.”
Meanwhile, Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has said that clubs in the Premier League will be more aware of their spending after the charge handed out to Forest and Everton.
Shearer said on The Rest is Football podcast: “There always has been a fair few quid, I mean ridiculous amounts being spent in January, but up until now [not much has happened], and I don’t expect it to change that much at all over the last few days of the window.
“I think it has hit home what has happened to Everton and Nottingham Forest, being charged. I think it has hit home at other clubs and other clubs are really looking at it and having to sit tight.”
