Nottingham Forest manager Nuno has said that Morgan Gibbs-White will start against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Nuno has also praised Gibbs-White for his performance against Bristol City on Friday evening.

Morgan Gibbs-White will start for Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal

Well, Nottingham Forest will take on Arsenal at the City Ground in the Premier League next Tuesday evening.

Forest will head into the match against Arsenal on the back of a goalless draw with Bristol City away from home in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Morgan Gibbs-White did not start the match for Forest. The 24-year-old English midfielder came on as a substitute at half time.

Forest manager Nuno has said that given that the midfielder has only just recovered from injury, he will have to manage the £25 million (Sky Sports) star.

However, Nuno has made it clear that the former Wolverhampton Wanderers star will start against Arsenal.

Nuno told NottinghamshireLive about Gibbs-White: “Of course it’s good to have options in these moments and being able to bring back Morgan. 

“Everyone knows how important he is for us, with the way he plays and the spaces he finds. We have to manage him properly. He is coming back (from injury). He did a good 45 minutes.

“He didn’t have too many training sessions. I think it was a good decision for him to play 45 minutes. He will start against Arsenal – if nothing happens.”

My View: Morgan Gibbs-White a big player for Nottingham Forest

In my opinion, Morgan Gibbs-White, who has been linked with Newcastle United, is one of the best and most important players for Nottingham Forest.

I think that if Forest are to avoid the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season, then Gibbs-White will have to be at his very best.

The 24-year-old, who has played as a forward this season, has made 18 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Forest this season.

Gibbs-White has scored two goals and given eight assists in those games.
