Nottingham Forest are unlikely to sell Morgan Gibbs-White to Newcastle United in the final days of the January transfer window.
That is according to journalist Dean Jones, who has given his take on speculation surrounding Gibbs-White.
So, what has been reported about Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Morgan Gibbs-White? Let’s take a look.
Nottingham Forest will keep Newcastle United target Morgan Gibbs-White
Well, according to journalist Dean Jones in GiveMeSport, Newcastle United are interested in signing Morgan Gibbs-White from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest in the final few days of the January transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist does not think that Forest will sell Gibbs-White in the middle of the season.
Jones believes that Newcastle will be priced out of a deal for the £25 million (Sky Sports) 24-year-old former Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder.

Earlier this week, The Telegraph reported that Newcastle could try to sign Gibbs-White if they lose Miguel Almiron to Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab.
Jones told GiveMeSport about Gibbs-White: “I’ve heard that Jamaal Lascelles, there are some doubts around him and he could even end up being made available.
“So if all those players are genuinely being made available, it feels to me like Newcastle still intend to do something in the market. So I think he’s one to look out for sure.
“I mean, Morgan Gibbs-White, feels like a really nice fit for the project. But I think the value that he’ll hold for Nottingham Forest at the moment will mean that he’s priced out of a January transfer. I’m not sure they could go and do something quite that significant.”
My View: Nottingham Forest should not sell Morgan Gibbs-White
In my opinion, Nottingham Forest should not sell Morgan Gibbs-White now. It is too late in the January transfer window.
Gibbs-White is one of the best and most important players in Nuno’s team. He will play a big role for Forest in the coming weeks and months.
The midfielder has made 18 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Reds this season. He has scored two goals and given three assists in those matches.
Gibbs-White scored five goals and provided eight assists in 35 Premier League matches for Forest last season.
