Nottingham Forest are back in talks with Crystal Palace regarding their number two goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
This update has come from Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett.
So, what is the ongoing situation with Johnstone and Forest? Let’s take a closer look…
Nottingham Forest in talks with Crystal Palace over Sam Johnstone
Well, it would appear as though Forest aren’t going to walk away from this one quietly.
With Matt Turner getting criticism from Shay Given last night, it would appear as though a new goalkeeper is now a priority.
Forest were first linked with Johnstone earlier this week and it would appear that the talks are still happening.
According to Rob Dorsett from Sky Sports, the Reds could tempt Palace into a sale if a bid somewhere in the region of £15 million is made.

Johnstone is willing to fight Dean Henderson for a place in the Eagles team but he wants regular football ahead of the Euros in the summer.
Worrying, it’s claimed that Palace don’t really want to sell and that could make life tricky for Forest when it comes to signing Johnstone.
Forest at breaking point over goalkeeping situation
This situation is now critical. Frankly, if Forest don’t land a goalkeeper in the next 36 hours or so, the club will hurtle towards the EFL at an alarming rate.
This isn’t a case of one or two mistakes that Turner has made, it’s one or two in every single game and he can’t keep playing.
Johnstone has bags of experience in the Premier League and also has four England caps to his name.
In total, the stopper has made 62 appearances in the top flight to go alongside 217 games in the Championship.
Micah Richards called Johnstone ‘outstanding’ when he was starring for West Brom and it would appear the pundit is a big fan.
At 30-years-old, Johnstone is hardly young but it’s fair to say that he would represent a vast upgrade on the current options.
In our view, this is an exciting link to watch ahead of the transfer deadline.
