Nottingham Forest have just allowed Julian Larsson to join Morecambe on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.
This has been confirmed by the club’s official website.
So, what is the situation with Larsson and why have Forest let him head out on loan? Let’s take a closer look…
Julian Larsson leaves Nottingham Forest for Morecambe
Well, this feels like another good move for another Forest youngster craving men’s football.
Earlier tonight, it was claimed that Brandon Aguilera was joining Bristol Rovers on loan and now Larsson is following suit, according to the club’s official website.
The striker has been at Forest since 2020 when he joined from AIK in Sweden and he’s never made a senior appearance.
Now he will join League Two outfit Morecambe as they try and chase down a play-off place in the fourth tier.
Larsson is 22-years-old and he really needs to be moving away from the Forest B-Team at this stage of his career.

The player does have over a year to run on his deal and perhaps a solid loan could earn him a permanent move somewhere.
Larsson has serious potential and he could star at Morecambe
This looks like a good move and after a solid EFL Trophy campaign, it’s good to see some of the youngsters getting moved out on loan.
Andy Reid is a huge fan of Forest striker Larsson and when he was managing the development squad, he called him ‘fantastic’.
Now, the player must showcase that he can do it in the men’s game and he’s joining a team that have been doing alright of late.
Morecambe are seven points shy of a place in the play-offs and a strong second half to the campaign could help them make up ground.
Larsson should get plenty of game time with the League Two outfit and hopefully, he can perform well during his loan away from Forest.
