Nottingham Forest are still keen on the signing of Kasper Schmeichel as the transfer window draws to a close.
This comes from the Daily Mail.
So, what has been said about Schmeichel and a potential transfer to Forest? Let’s take a closer look…
Nottingham Forest want Kasper Schmeichel
Well, it would appear as though Forest are stepping up their attempts to sign a new goalkeeper on transfer deadline day.
According to the Daily Mail, Schmeichel is still a goalkeeper that the Reds like and he could be on the radar for today.
The 37-year-old has seen it all in the Premier League and helped the Foxes win the title in 2016.
Right now, Schmeichel is playing for Anderlecht but it’s fancied that he may well jump at the chance to sign for Forest.

Forest-linked Schmeichel is experienced to the point where he fell only 21 appearances short of playing 500 times for Leicester.
Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of Schmeichel and called him ‘outstanding’ during his time managing him at Leicester.
The player is an international goalkeeper and he’s currently made 99 appearances for the Denmark national team.
Schmeichel could prove smart business
Although the goalkeeper isn’t getting any younger, he’d still represent an upgrade on the current crop of stoppers.
Matt Turner was slammed by Shay Given yesterday and Odysseas Vlachodimos hasn’t covered himself in glory either.
Schmeichel could make an immediate impact with Forest and there would be no settling-in period with the experienced player.
Furthermore, Schmeichel would fancy having a point to prove given how his time at Leicester ended and as a short-term fix he perhaps would prove a useful option for Forest.
Forest have to get something sorted between the posts today and failing to do so could be seriously detrimental to the club’s Premier League status.
