Giovanni Reyna was very comfortable with his new Nottingham Forest teammates during the warm-up ahead of the match against Bournemouth.

That is according to The Athletic, which has noted what Reyna was doing in the build-up to the Premier League game this past Sunday.

So, what has been reported about Nottingham Forest attacker Giovanni Reyna? Let’s take a look.

Giovanni Reyna in Nottingham Forest warm-up

Well, Nottingham Forest took on Bournemouth away from home in the Premier League this past Sunday. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Giovanni Reyna made his debut for Nuno’s team following his move from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window. The 21-year-old USA international moved to the City Ground on a loan deal.

Reyna did not start the match for Forest. He came on as a substitute in the 78th minute. The attacker showed some nice touches and looked very lively during his time on the pitch.

The Athletic has noted what Reyna was doing in the warm-up. It stated: “Forest’s pre-match preparations see the substitutes warm-up away from the players who are starting and Reyna looked comfortable in his new surroundings — smiling and joking as he went through a few one-touch routines and a game of keepy-uppy with the other players named on the bench.”

My View: Giovanni Reyna could play a big role for Nottingham Forest

In my opinion, Giovanni Reyna could play a big role for Nottingham Forest in the second half of the season.

While there have been suggestions that Forest need not have signed Reyna because they have other attacking players, the fact of the matter is that the Reds have not been particularly great in attack.

After all, Forest have scored just 28 goals in 23 Premier League matches so far this season.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has not been in great form this season, although there are signs that he is starting to get into his own.

Reyna can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, so the USA international could play instead of Hudson-Odoi.

A report recently claimed that Reyna prefers to play as a number 10. Morgan Gibbs-White is the playmaker-in-chief for Forest at the moment, but it would not be a bad idea to have the American star as a back-up.
