Dimitar Berbatov has predicted how Nuno’s Nottingham Forest will fare against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United this weekend.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United striker believes that there will be three goals at the City Ground.

So, what has Dimitar Berbatov said ahead of Nottingham Forest against Newcastle United? Let’s take a look.

Dimitar Berbatov backs Nottingham Forest to beat Newcastle United

Well, Nottingham Forest will lock horns with Newcastle United at the City Ground in the Premier League on Saturday evening. Paul Merson thinks that the Reds will lose.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov has said that Forest will pick up all three points from the encounter against Newcastle.

The pundit has admitted that his prediction of the match at the City Ground will come as a surprise, but he has noted that Forest have improved under head coach Nuno and Newcastle are leaking goals.

Forest beat Bristol City in the FA Cup in midweek following a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth away from home in the Premier League last weekend.

Newcastle will head into the match against Forest at the City Ground on the back of a 4-4 draw with Luton Town at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

Berbatov told Metro: “The Premier League is unpredictable and that showed with Newcastle drawing 4-4 against Luton. Newcastle are leaking goals when you’re thinking, ‘how is that possible?’

“I’ll go for a surprise and say Forest will get the points as they have improved under Nuno and they did beat Newcastle last time around.

“‌Prediction: 2-1.”

My View: Nottingham Forest will win at City Ground

I am backing Nottingham Forest to win against Newcastle United at the City Ground in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

True, Forest are not in great form at the moment – they have lost two and drawn one of their last three Premier League games – but playing at home will give them an advantage.

Newcastle are not in great form either. Eddie Howe’s side have lost three of their last five Premier League games.
