Nottingham Forest star Ibrahim Sangare received a congratulatory message from Didier Drogba after Ivory Coast won the African Cup of Nations.
The legendary Ivorian sent the post on Instagram.
So, what has Drogba said to Sangare after the Forest man helped his country claim success? Let’s take a closer look…
What Didier Drogba has said to Forest star Ibrahim Sangare
Well, it would appear as though Drogba has taken this success well and he was celebrating at the end on Sunday night with the current crop.
He’s seemingly shared every Instagram post from the current squad to his own story and sent each player a personal message.
Forest star Sangare played for 10 minutes of the final and won more headers than any other player on the pitch during the final against Nigeria.
Drogba was impressed and after Sangare helped his country to glory, he posted a nine-word response to his Instagram story.
He said: “At the end of the effort. Well done, son!”

In our view, it’s a relief that Sangare didn’t play that much during the knockout stages of the competition which took place in the Ivory Coast.
As a result, he should return to Forest feeling fresh and ready to fire during the final 14 games of the campaign.
Forest need midfield maestro back quickly
It’s amazing that Forest have international players doing bits on that stage – but now the Reds need Sangare, and Willy Boly, back at the City Ground.
Forest have 14 games to try and save their season, with a points deduction also looming over the Reds too.
Sangare has been getting up to speed in the Premier League since arriving in August.
His performance against Newcastle on Boxing Day was arguably the best he’s played in the Garibaldi and it’s exciting to see how he can do under Nuno Espirito Santo.
