Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was outstanding on Saturday as the Reds defeated West Ham at the City Ground.

Well, this kind of form has been a long time coming for Hudson-Odoi at Forest but long may it continue.

The 23-year-old epitomised what playing for Forest should be about with an energetic performance that saw him roll back the years.

Since damaging his Achilles, it’s been a long road back for Hudson-Odoi – who was once viewed as one of the country’s top talents.

The fact he had suffered a fall from grace of sorts actually saw Forest land Hudson-Odoi for just £3 million in the summer.

Now, under Nuno Espirito Santo, he’s coming to life and has scored in each of his last three appearances.

After Saturday’s game, he’s now been named in the Who Scored Team of the Week after scoring 8.13 for his performance.

Forest have hit the jackpot with bargain signing

It really is a testament to the club’s recruitment that they managed to land Hudson-Odoi for such a minimal transfer fee.

On Saturday, the statistics from Who Scored show that Hudson-Odoi made four key passes and also won Forest three free-kicks.

He also won two tackles and completed 85% of the 40 passes that he attempted during the 90 minutes.

In our view, Hudson-Odoi is slowly but surely settling down at Forest and right now he’s looking very dangerous.

There is still more to come from the player but right now, the 23-year-old looks to be enjoying his football at Forest.
