Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has praised Divock Origi for his performance yesterday.
The boss was speaking with Nottinghamshire Live.
So, what did Espirito Santo say about Forest striker Origi? Let’s take a closer look…
What Nuno Espirito Santo said about Forest striker Divock Origi
Well, this was comfortably Origi’s best performance in a Forest shirt after he claimed an assist just three minutes after coming on.
His ball through to Gibbs-White was fantastic and but for some poor finishing from Anthony Elanga, he might have had two assists.
Forest almost offloaded Origi in January, with Los Angeles keen to sign him but he remained at the City Ground.
After the game, Espirito Santo spoke of his centre-forward and he was impressed.
The head coach told Nottinghamshire Live: “I think he did well. He brought some energy to the right side. He had some good combinations and passes. We need all the players, and we need the best of all of them.”

Origi can still play City Ground role
This was a magnificent performance from the player and he was arguably the standout from a Forest perspective.
Origi has now scored against Bristol City in the FA Cup and since then, it seems as though he’s kicked on a little bit.
The challenge for Origi is to keep kicking on and keep confident in an attempt to lift Forest up the division.
Espirito Santo being happy with his performance should put him in good shape and hopefully, more performances of this nature are just around the corner.
Origi has endured some injury problems this season which haven’t helped. Now, he will hope they are behind him and he can earn a role in the team.
The starting eleven looks pretty settled and being the super sub might have to be something Origi adapts to at Forest.
