The future looks very bright for Nottingham Forest star Murillo – and he could now be called up to play for the Brazil national team.

This news comes from UOL in Brazil.

So, what has been said about Forest defender Murillo? Let’s take a closer look…

Murillo could now get Brazil call-up

Well, it would appear that Murillo could be about to see his stock rise even further – with Brazil considering calling him up.

UOL have claimed that Brazil head coach Dorival Junior watched five uncapped players live in Europe.

One of those was Forest defender Murillo and he could soon be handed a chance to shine with the national team.

Junior’s first Brazil squad will be named on Friday for games against England and Spain next month.

Murillo has been ever-present in the Forest team since making his debut against Brentford back in October.

Forest landed the defender from Corinthians in the summer, with Manchester City keen to sign Murillo before he moved to the East Midlands.

Forest have hit the jackpot with Murillo

At £10.4 million, Forest have to be praised for their decision to sign Murillo and take a chance on him.

The Reds landed him amid a host of interest from other clubs and gave him a chance to shine in the team.

Last week, it was claimed that Forest view Murillo as someone who could earn the club a huge transfer fee if they do sell him in the future.

For now, the 21-year-old will be solely focused on doing his best to try and keep Forest in the Premier League.

If he does get the chance to play for Brazil in the coming weeks it would represent a huge step for the youngster.

Murillo has played 50 senior games during his career and it’s quite scary how impressive he’s been already.

The centre-back looks set for a really bright future and it would be quite special if the Forest player earned a Brazil call-up this week.
