Jamie Carragher has explained how many points he thinks Nottingham Forest will be deducted.

The Reds are facing a sanction after breaching financial regulations.

So, what has Carragher said about the situation at Forest? Let’s take a closer look…

Jamie Carragher predicts how many points Nottingham Forest will lose

Well, to say that he’s merely a pundit, Carragher does seem very sure of himself when it comes to discussing the ins and outs.

In a week where David Ornstein outlined some cold, hard facts about the Forest situation, Carragher has now weighed in.

As a kid, Carragher supported Everton. With that in mind, it would seem he’s perhaps using his platform to try and get things done in the favour of the Toffees.

He believes that Everton could escape more sanctions, despite being found guilty again along with Forest this time.

Carragher told the Stick to Football podcast: “The problem with Everton is that this new sanction includes two from the previous two years.

“So they’ll be saying ‘we can’t get six points after we’ve already been punished. I think Everton will get one or two points and Forest will probably get six.”

Nobody knows what Forest are going to get

In our view, this whole situation is just pathetic now. The fact it’s dragging out is making everything very tetchy.

Carragher doesn’t have a clue what will happen but one thing that is for sure is that it now feels unlikely Forest will get any more than six points deducted.

The whole thing dragging on is doing nobody any favours. Even clubs like Luton and Brentford would welcome the Premier League getting their act together.

Forest will be hoping that Nick De Marco, appointed to fight the club’s corner, can come up trumps.

Carragher seems to have a different opinion on the situation with each passing week and hopefully soon things can be resolved and the talking can stop.
