Nottingham Forest defender Felipe was very lucky not to get sent off last night – according to a former referee.
Keith Hackett has been speaking on X regarding an incident at the end of last night’s game against Manchester United.
So, what has Hackett said about Forest central defender Felipe? Let’s take a closer look…
What Keith Hackett said about Forest star Felipe last night
Well, it did threaten to boil over at the end of last night’s FA Cup clash between Forest and United.
It won’t come as any shock to learn that Bruno Fernandes was in the thick of things with Forest star Felipe taking action.

Fernandes spent the majority of the game doing what he does best; whinging and pretending to be hurt when he’s not.
Felipe took offence to the nature of his play and the Forest man appeared to grab him by the throat shortly after United had scored a late goal.
Hackett couldn’t believe what he was watching and took to X to explain why Felipe should have seen red.
He said: “My view is that this action should have resulted in the issue of a red card. There should be no place in football for this unacceptable action. How can a referee judge the force? Having hands in the face is unacceptable – red for me.”
Felipe was lucky but Reds are owed a break
Isn’t it amusing? Manchester United end up on the wrong end of a VAR decision and all hell breaks loose within the media.
The Reds have experienced weeks of wrong decisions and inept VAR and barely anyone has batted an eyelid.
Forest have appointed Mark Clattenburg to help them with certain aspects of match officials – and he might have some advice for Felipe this morning.
As much as Fernandes can wind opposing players up, Forest can’t afford to be getting needless red cards for this sort of thing.
Felipe is just starting to get a run in the Forest team and hopefully, he can learn from this and control his emotions a little better next time.
