Chris Sutton has given his verdict on how Nuno’s Nottingham Forest will fare against Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend.
Nottingham Forest will take on Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League on Sunday.
Forest will be looking to bounce back from the controversial defeat to Liverpool at the City Ground in the Premier League last weekend.
Former Aston Villa and Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has once again slammed Forest for criticising too much about the refereeing mistake in injury time against Liverpool.
The BBC Sport has backed Brighton to pick up all three points from the encounter against Forest courtesy of a 2-1 win.
Chris Sutton predicts Nottingham Forest to lose to Brighton and Hove Albion
Sutton told BBC Sport: “I am not sure if it is European football that has affected Brighton, but they are not the team they were last season.
Their home record is still pretty decent, with only one league defeat at the Amex Stadium, but I don’t know how much Thursday’s Europa League defeat at Roma will take out of them.

“Nottingham Forest were very angry last weekend after blaming the referee for their last-gasp defeat by Liverpool – although that seemed a bit ridiculous to me because the winning goal went in a couple of minutes after they should have been given the ball from a restart.
“Forest are probably still angry now, though, and I don’t see their mood improving much here. I’m backing Brighton to pile on the misery for them.
“Sutton’s prediction: 2-1.”
My View: Nottingham Forest will win against Brighton and Hove Albion
In my opinion, Nottingham Forest will win against Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
I do not think that Forest will overpower Brighton and win by two or three goals. I am predicting Nuno’s side to eke out a narrow 2-1 victory.
Yes, Brighton do have a better team than Forest, but they have not been great this season. The Seagulls’ recent form is not very impressive either.
Brighton have lost two of their last five Premier League matches. They got hammered 4-0 by AS Roma in Rome in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie on Thursday evening.
True, Forest have lost their last two Premier League games and have won just one of their last five, but their performances have been encouraging.
Against Liverpool, Forest conceded the winning goal in the ninth minute of injury time. They scored two goals against Aston Villa and lost by a one-goal margin to Newcastle United.
