Taiwo Awoniyi and Neco Williams have been heard mocking Nottingham Forest teammate Harry Toffolo in training.

The moment was captured during Nottingham Forest’s latest edition of Inside Training.

Well – just after eight seconds into the video – the Nottingham Forest duo were filmed laughing.

Williams can then be heard saying “worst haircut in the squad?” before Awoniyi responds with “Harry Toffolo” – the Wales international then echoes that before the pair erupt with laughter.

Brutal.

Toffolo – who arrived in a £10m double deal from Huddersfield along with Lewis O’Brien back in July 2022 – was surely taken aback by that remark if he watched the video, although we’re sure it was all nothing more than mere training ground banter.

Spirits certainly seem to be high within Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, with many players seen to be laughing and joking around in the training video.

That speaks volumes about what the Portuguese tactician has brought to the City Ground, as it would be very easy for everybody to feel down in the dumps given the stressful relegation battle and possible points deduction, especially after some woeful refereeing of late.

Neco Williams shares insider view on Nuno

Nuno stepped into a difficult job at the City Ground given the fanbase’s love of Steve Cooper.

While the 50-year-old is unlikely to ever become as popular amongst supporters as the Welshman is, it sounds like he is impressing the players, according to Williams.

The Nottingham Forest No.7 told the club’s official website: “He’s so passionate about the players and the fans. The fans may not see that because it’s inside our bubble every day, but they may not realise how passionate he is.

“I’m really enjoying working with him at the minute, we have a close bond and I’m always looking to improve, so whenever I need any advice, I know his door is always open.”

Hopefully, Nuno can steer Nottingham Forest to safety this season – a lot will depend on Saturday’s crucial six pointer against Luton Town, which Chris Sutton has already predicted.
