Former Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton praised Murillo during yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Luton Town. The comments came during the 61st minute of this relegation six-pointer.
The Reds scored first thanks to another goal from Chris Wood. However, with time running out, Luke Berry found an equaliser for the home side to secure a vital point.
Forest must now face the music over their financial charges. It seems as though a points deduction is on the horizon and that could be seriously detrimental.
What Mark Warburton said about Forest defender Murillo
Well, Forest have struggled with set pieces all season; both defensively and offensively. As a result, Murillo took matters into his own hands when Forest were awarded a defensive free kick with half an hour remaining.
As everyone set up for Murillo to get the ball downfield, he decided to have a shot, leaving Paul Merson to rave about the Forest defender, and the goalkeeper was almost caught cold.

Warburton was equally impressed and he said live on BBC Radio 5 Live: “What a tremendous strike from Murillo. (Thomas) Kaminski gets away with it.”
Brazilian is destined for bigger things
It’s quite remarkable that Forest managed to get Murillo for around £11 million from Corinthians. Ultimately, however, this will be a stepping stone for the Brazilian to do bigger things in Europe.
Atletico Madrid have been linked with a move for Forest star Murillo. That isn’t overly surprising and that sort of club is one that the defender will feel he can thrive at.
It’s such a shame that Murillo’s effort didn’t sail into the net and stick the seal on a big win for Forest. Now, we have to wonder whether it’s worth getting Murillo on the more dangerous free-kicks given his wand of a left foot.
