In a world-exclusive interview, Evangelos Marinakis has now delivered his verdict on the officiating during Nottingham Forest games this season.
Forest have been on the wrong end of a few absolute howlers and in another season they might have been relegated because of them.
Saturday’s results really put that to bed barring the singing from the fat lady, however.
Burnley lost at Tottenham and are now relegated, whilst a 3-1 defeat at West Ham for Luton means they need a mathematic miracle on the final day.
Only a 12-goal swing can save Luton and they need relegated Burnley to really hammer Forest.
Marinakis feels it should have been a lot more comfortable, however, and now he’s shared how many decisions he thinks have gone against Forest.

Evangelos Marinakis bemoans decisions against Nottingham Forest
The Greek owner has copped some unfair flak this season – when in reality, he’s just shown some passion towards the football club he owns.
Marinakis cares about Forest. He gets it and he will leave no stone unturned in his quest to make the club a formidable force once again.
After a 3-2 defeat with Chelsea, Marinakis sat down with the Daily Mail and he’s now shared how many decisions he thinks have gone against Forest this season.
He said during the interview: “I have attended over 100 games at the City Ground or away and we never had any incident. We’ve won and lost games – big games – but we have always had an excellent reputation.
“Even the Key Match Incidents panel admits that we’ve had seven wrong decisions against us and there’s another nine to my count not admitted.”
Forest have been dealt a bad hand this season
Next season, things can really only get better from a Forest perspective.
The 38-game Premier League campaign during 2023/24 has been a really long slog and has seen more negatives than positives.
A four-point deduction has made things too close for comfort but other factors have made this season hard work.
Some of the decisions against Forest have been nothing short of a disgrace and Marinakis is right to mention them.
Had a few of those been called correctly, Forest would have been planning for life in the Premier League next season weeks ago.
Marinakis gets a reputation for being a bit of a hot head but ultimately he just cares and he will hope that Forest get a fairer crack of the whip with match officials next season.
