Henry Winter has claimed that one Nottingham Forest player amuses him whenever he sees him play given how effective he is at one thing.
The Reds have all but secured Premier League football for another campaign and plans can loosely start to take place.
Luton and Burnley lost at the weekend and although Forest were also beaten, it means a mathematical miracle is needed for the Hatters.
Forest will be glad to see the back of this season, although there have still been some decent performances over the campaign.
Going forward, Forest have looked far better under Nuno Espirito Santo and Winter has now lauded one City Ground star.
Henry Winter on Callum Hudson-Odoi
Winter has been to Forest a few times of late and he will have seen a bang in form Hudson-Odoi.
As one of the most respected journalists in the country, he will have also seen the 23-year-old emerge through the Chelsea ranks.
The Forest number 14 scored twice against Sheffield United recently and on Saturday he scored against Chelsea during a 3-2 defeat.
Hudson-Odoi is a player who only cost Forest an astonishing £3 million in the summer – and it appears Winter loves watching him play.
He told the Forest Focus podcast: “There seems to be more of a cutting edge with someone like (Callum) Hudson-Odoi, although he always makes me laugh.
“You know where he’s going Hudson-Odoi, he never goes around his full-back, he always likes to cut inside but he does it so effectively.”
Hudson-Odoi can get even better for Forest next season
Staying in the Premier League was paramount for Forest when it came to keeping hold of Hudson-Odoi.
Now, the Reds can look forward to keeping the winger around and he will be pretty content with how this season has gone.
Hudson-Odoi has registered the second most successful dribbles in the Forest squad with 42 from his 28 appearances, according to Who Scored.
Furthermore, he’s also the closest to Chris Wood in terms of goals with eight to his name for this season.
Hudson-Odoi needed a good run of games this season to prove to himself and the Forest fan base that his injury troubles are a thing of the past.
He’s done that with aplomb and in our view, it’s exciting to see how Hudson-Odoi can kick on next season at Forest.
