Nottingham Forest could find themselves an exciting alternative to Che Adams this summer if they are willing to invest some money up top.
A new striker is seemingly on the agenda at the City Ground this summer with Forest linked with a possible move for free agent Che Adams.
The former Southampton striker is looking for a new club this month having left the Saints as a free agent.
However, there is another English striker who has now entered the market this summer as he looks to get his career back on track.
Although Adams may well be a free transfer, Forest have also been linked with a £27m move for Maximilian Beier after his impressive campaign with Hoffenheim.
But Forest could offer another shot at the Premier League for one striker this summer three years after he left England.

Nottingham Forest could be perfect landing spot for striker’s revival
According to TBR Football‘s Graeme Bailey, AS Roma and Tammy Abraham are ready to part ways following three years together.
Roma would be willing to allow the 26-year-old striker to leave over the coming months for less than £30m after an injury riddled campaign.
With two years now remaining on Abraham’s deal in the Italian capital, a number of Premier League sides are showing an interest.
Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and West Ham have all been credited with an interest – perhaps this is one Forest should consider.
The biggest concern surrounding Abraham from any side this summer will be his injury record with the Englishman struggling to nail down any form due to his fitness issues.
Abraham’s time at Roma has been heavily disrupted, but he has still been able to provide a solid return when he has been available, but undoubtedly there will be a feeling of he can still offer more.
| Tammy Abraham @ Roma | Total |
| Appearances | 119 |

Tammy Abraham has more potential than Che Adams
Whilst Che Adams enjoyed a successful season in the Championship with Southampton, Abraham has shown his quality in Serie A with Roma.
His first season (2021/22) was his most prolific with the Englishman providing a return of 17 goals and four assists in the league alone.
Looking back on that campaign, it could provide a lot of encouragement for any side looking to take a punt on the 26-year-old this summer.
| Per 90 mins | Tammy Abraham 21/22 | Che Adams 23/24 |
| Progressive distance (yards) | 32.9 | 29 |
| Aerial duels won | 49.4% | 40.8% |
| Shot-creating actions | 2.74 | 2.59 |
| Goals and assists | 21 | 20 |

Considering Abraham was able to outperform Adam’s in a much higher quality league, it shows the potential a side could get out of the Englishman.
However, it would certainly be a risk for any side taking the gamble on Abraham this summer with his injury issues potentially making or breaking his success at whichever club he is playing for next term.
What Jose Mourinho said about Tammy Abraham
During his career, Abraham has been able to play under some of the most successful managers with Jose Mourinho his gaffer during his time at Roma.
The Portuguese manager was not always complimentary of Abraham as he knew the 26-year-old had more to give.
But speaking to Sky Sports back in 2022, the current Fenerbahce waxed lyrical about the former Chelsea striker.
“Against Leicester he was absolutely amazing and at this moment I joke and say ‘I refuse to praise him’ because he can always do better,” Mourinho said.
“We have got into this situation where I demand a lot from him because I know he can do amazingly well.
“I don’t think it’s an easy decision for a young player to leave his club, his house, his city, his country and to leave the Premier League which is of course a competition that when a player is in its hard to leave.”
