Nottingham Forest have now completed another signing after Carlos Miguel arrived at the City Ground.
The Brazilian goalkeeper moves to the City Ground in a £3.4m deal from Corinthians – with the switch made official shortly after his agent was spotted at Wilford Lane on Monday.
Carlos Miguel has already spoken to Nottingham Forest insiders – where he made an interesting comment about Murillo…
What Carlos Miguel said about Murillo
Fortunately, the South American’s ability to settle in Nottingham should be made easier by the presence of fellow Brazilians Danilo and Murillo at the City Ground.
When asked if he had spoken to the latter about joining Nottingham Forest, Miguel said: “Yes, absolutely, the first information came from Murillo.
“I asked him about the club and also the city. I asked how the club works as it’s so important to know everything beforehand. He said great things and was exuberant about this club, which made me really happy.”

Miguel also revealed that he spoke to Danilo about moving to the City Ground.
The 25-year-old added: “Yes I have, I know Danilo as well. He only had good things to say to me. Dani is a great lad, we’re going to get on really well together.”
Before leaving to join Nottingham Forest, Miguel impressively kept 14 clean sheets in 25 appearances for Corinthians – conceding only 14 goals.
Nottingham Forest may have found a bargain
Those back at Corinthians are absolutely furious with Miguel for leaving – after club legend Cassio was sold in order for him to be given the No.1 shirt.
That speaks volumes about the Brazilian’s quality, or else they probably wouldn’t be that fussed to see him depart, and for just £3.4m – peanuts in modern football – Ross Wilson could have just unearthed a gem.

Miguel has immediately become the Premier League’s tallest player standing at 6ft 8in – and while height is not all you need to be an effective goalkeeper, he also seems to have the reflexes to compliment his frame, judging by footage of him playing for Corinthians – which we sadly are not allowed to embed here.

Matz Sels did a decent job in between the sticks after arriving from Strasbourg in January, but seeing as Miguel is seven years younger than the Belgian, Nottingham Forest may just have signed a No.1 for the long run.
