After announcing the arrival of Carlos Miguel, Nottingham Forest are now planning to bolster the defence.
The Garibaldi announced earlier on Tuesday that the Brazilian goalkeeper had completed his £3.4m move to the City Ground from Corinthians – where he will compete against Matz Sels.
Now, Nottingham Forest are turning attentions towards a central defender…
Nottingham Forest want to sign Etienne Youte Kinkoue after Carlos Miguel
A story from Football Insider claims that Nottingham Forest are now plotting a move to sign Etienne Youte Kinkoue.
It is said that the 22-year-old could be signed for as little as £7m this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract with Le Havre, who will be determined not to lose him on a free transfer in 2025.
Ross Wilson has been tasked with signing a new central defender for Nuno Espirito Santo following the departures of Moussa Niakhate, Felipe, Scott McKenna, Loic Mbe Soh and Cheikhou Kouyate, while Joe Worrall is also likely to leave Nottingham Forest soon as well.

That leaves Nuno with only Murillo, Willy Boly and Andrew Omobamidele to choose from in central defence, so plans are now being put in place to sign Kinkoue after the issue of finding a new goalkeeping option was solved.
The man from Lyon made 22 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, helping Le Havre finish 15th in France’s top-flight.
Worth the gamble
Kinkoue may be relatively inexperienced – and completely untested in the Premier League – although there are many factors that make him worth gambling a £7m fee on.
For a start, the Frenchman towers over most of his peers standing at 6ft 5in – which should help him adapt to the physicality of the Premier League.

Furthermore, Kinkoue is clearly a 22-year-old full of potential, having been snapped up by Inter Milan at the age of just 17, while he has also represented France at U17 level.

Of course, fans may need to be patient with the Le Havre No.6 as he gets to grips with the Premier League – if an agreement materialises – although for just £7m, there is plenty more to be positive about regarding this deal than there are downsides.
