Nottingham Forest players have been left really impressed with one young talent on the pre-season tour of Spain this summer.
The Reds held base in Murcia for 10 days, playing three games against Sunderland, Millwall and Elche in baking Spanish climates.
Boss Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to stamp his own ideas on the squad ahead of his first full season in charge of Forest.
The Portuguese incumbent led the Reds to survival last season and now he has the chance to really make an impression on the team.
So far, five players have been added to the ranks, with four of them settling in nicely and Marko Stamenic already joining Olympiacos on loan.
With the pre-season training camp in Spain now over, Forest can look forward to pre-season games at home and away at Olympiacos before the season starts.
Following the trip to Spain, it’s emerged that one player has really impressed his teammates since arriving at the club.

Nottingham Forest gem impresses teammates on pre-season tour
Eric da Silva Moreira is an unknown quantity that Forest plucked from St Pauli in the summer and it would appear that he’s going down a storm among his teammates.
John Percy from The Telegraph has been on the training camp with the Forest players and he’s been told by two senior players that he’s impressed significantly.
Moreira is only 18 and it was anticipated in some parts that he’d initially join up with the club’s B-Team on the pre-season tour.
After playing in a 3-0 win over Chesterfield, however, he was handed the chance to impress Espirito Santo and played in the games in Spain.
It would seem as though a positive start has been made by the German under-17 World Cup winner and there might be a place in the squad for him this year.
As a teenager, he wouldn’t need registering and perhaps that has played into Espirito Santo’s thinking when it comes to giving him a go this pre-season.
Moreira can star for Forest this season
This would be a really good situation if Forest can integrate Moreira into the reckoning this season.
It would showcase that Forest are really getting it right in the transfer market and this has the hallmark of being a great addition.
Moreira can play in a number of positions and that could make him an asset in the Forest squad for the 2024/25 campaign.
His primary position is probably as a right-back and with Neco Williams the only option in that position, perhaps there is a role for him this season.
