Nottingham Forest’s summer has not just been about signings with the Reds also selling their fair share of players.

Last month, player departures was essential for Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side with the PSR deadline looming at the end of June.

This saw the likes of Orel Mangala and Moussa Niakhate make way as Forest brought in the funds required to balance the books.

However, that will not be the end to the departures at the City Ground this summer with further exits potentially on the cards.

And there is one specific player who the Reds are now just waiting on offers to come in for this summer.

Nottingham Forest ready to sell forward this summer

Although there has been departures from the City Ground, the large part of Forest’s summer has been dominated by player arrivals.

The Reds have seen five players come through the doors already this summer with more potentially heading to Nottingham.

However, there are also a number of players who are now looking increasingly unlikely to have a role in Nuno’s plans for the future.

According to The Athletic, Forest are now willing to sell Emmanuel Dennis this summer and are just waiting on offers to arrive.

The Nigerian striker still has two years left on his deal at the City Ground but he has spent the last 12 months away from the club.

Dennis returned to his former side, Watford, last season where he returned just four goals in 17 appearances.

Forest are open to selling Dennis but the bids have to arrive first…

‘Very talented’ Emmanuel Dennis has not lived up to his potential

Dennis’ former manager Claudio Ranieri had some big praise to lavish on the 26-year-old from their time together with the Hornets back in 2021.

“[Dennis] is a very talented player. He’s fast, has good skill, always runs straight to the goal – I love these kinds of players,” Ranieri told the club’s website.

However, Forest have not seen this from Dennis. Having only played 25 times for Forest, Dennis has returned a mere two goals and three assists for the Reds.

So it is no surprise Forest are looking to move him on but what they will be able to recoup of their £20m investment will have to be seen.
