Nottingham Forest are ramping up their preparations for their season opener in just over two weeks against Bournemouth.
Nuno Espirito Santo has to be delighted with the way Forest‘s summer has panned out both on the pitch and off it.
The pre-season trip to Spain may have provided a mixed bag of results, but Anthony Elanga has admitted the Forest players were worked hard in the 40C heat.
It was a 2023/24 campaign which the Reds will have been happy to put behind them having narrowly avoided the drop.
But it seems as if the club are looking to put things right ahead of the new campaign.
And one of the new summer signings, Carlos Miguel, already seems to have made an impression on his teammates during his first few weeks at the club.

Carlos Miguel has already wowed his Nottingham Forest teammates
Seemingly, the Forest players have had a busy summer with double sessions in the Spanish heat.
But it has also been a busy summer for those at the top of the club given Forest have already secured six signings, with a seven reportedly looming.
What Forest have done very well this summer is getting the majority of their business done early on in the window.
This has allowed five of the six signings to have been involved in a team-bonding trip to Spain.
Speaking on the Shut Up and Show More Football podcast, Elanga has revealed how well Miguel’s initiation song went down with his teammates.
“Honestly, 6 ft 8 Carlos Miguel. He was fantastic!” Elanga replied when asked whose initiation was the best.
“He got everyone dancing, especially me. But no, he was amazing. His initiation song was class.
“Parado no bailao a Brazilian song… class.”
Nuno Espirito Santo has bid goalkeeper decision at Forest
Since he arrived at the club last season, Nuno has had issues with finding his number one goalkeeper.
Matz Sels came out of the 2023/24 campaign as the number one, but Forest have since added the giant Brazilian over the summer.
Miguel has featured this summer as Forest awaited Sels’ return from his extended break due to his involvement in the Euros.
With a game against Villarreal on Friday night, it will be interesting to see which goalkeeper gets the nod from the start.
