Nottingham Forest secured themselves a solid draw against Villarreal on Friday night in their latest pre-season friendly.
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s men are beginning to really ramp things up this summer on the pitch after returning to the City Ground ahead of their season opener.
The 2024/25 campaign is now just two weeks away and the Forest starting XI got just over an hour in their legs before Nuno started making changes.
In front of their home fans, Forest put on a decent display against an established La Liga outfit.
However, there was one former player who was spotted in the stands which may raise a few questions considering he is now without a club.

Forward sold in 2022 spotted at City Ground in Forest training kit
Forest have been one of the busier sides in the Premier League this summer when it comes to the transfer market.
The Reds have already brought in six new faces with most of them brought in for the pre-season trip to Spain.
Signing number seven could soon be on the way with reports from Brazil claiming Forest have signed Ramon Sosa from CA Talleres.
There may now be questions raised as to whether there is a potential return on the cards for a player who netted 56 goals for the club.
During the game at the City Ground on Friday night, Lewis Grabban was spotted in the stands after being sold in 2022 to Al-Ahli.
Although his attendance at the game may not be too much of a shock, what is interesting is that he was spotted wearing the new Forest training gear.
Grabban has now been without a club since January 2023, but Grabban has been spotted at recent Forest games.
As to why the 36-year-old striker is wearing the new training wear will remain a mystery, for now.
Lewis Grabban provided Forest with some big goals
Grabban proved to be a bit of a marmite figure during his time at Forest with some fans just not taking to the forward.
During his time at the club, Grabban was hailed as ‘excellent‘ by some as he was able to return 56 goals over his 149 appearances across all competitions.
Having left Forest following their promotion back to the top flight, Grabban’s move to the Saudi Pro League did not exactly prove to be a worthwhile one.
The striker did not play a single game for Al-Ahli and found himself as a free agent just months later.
