Nottingham Forest have enjoyed one of the busiest summer transfer windows of all the clubs in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo has to be delighted with how Forest‘s summer has panned out with Evangelos Marinakis having been a very busy man.

The Reds have already been able to bring in six new faces this summer whilst also sorting out their financial concerns.

As was the case last year, Forest were at risk of breaching PSR, but Marinakis was able to offload the likes of Orel Mangala and Moussa Niakhate to balance the books.

There is still plenty of time for more arrivals to land at the City Ground as Forest aim for a much smoother season than last term.

However, Marinakis has now been warned by president that he needs to pay up or face missing out on one of Forest’s remaining targets this summer.

Forest warned they must pay up for summer target

The Reds are certainly setting themselves up for a more positive 2024/25 campaign with the signings made.

Forest’s struggles last season were clear to see on the back of their points deduction.

It can’t be forgotten some of the decisions that went against the Reds, but there were obvious signs for improvement.

And,to be fair to Marinakis, that is what he has looked to provide with Nuno being handed the tools needed to push on at Forest.

Speaking to ABC Paraguay, president of CA Talleres has warned Nottingham Forest they have to live up to the agreement struck for Ramon Sosa.

The two clubs are believed to have landed a £13m agreement for the Paraguay international to make the move to the City Ground.

However, the club president is now warning Marinakis that he faces missing out on the winger if they do not follow up on their verbal agreement.

“The Sosa issue is in the process of being denied… If they don’t give Talleres what was agreed, he won’t leave,” said Andres Fassi.

Forest risking losing out on ‘gifted’ Ramon Sosa

There had already been reports coming out of South America suggesting that Forest had signed Sosa last week.

However, it appears those suggestions were slightly premature with only a verbal agreement landed between the two clubs.

But the 24-year-old has been hailed as a ‘gifted‘ player who could certainly help bolster Forest’s depth going into the new campaign.

Sosa has made a bright start to the season with Talleres having provided 13 goal contributions in 21 appearances.

It now seems as if the ball is fully in Forest’s court and is just a matter of how badly they want to sign him.
