Ahead of the new campaign, teams are starting to complete their business and Nottingham Forest still have a few more deals to do both in terms of incoming and outgoing deals.
There are a number of players who are surplus to requirements across the board – and a number of clubs are interested in those players.
Clubs across the board are trying to sign players before the new season and with the EFL campaign kicking off this weekend, things are ramping up down there.
Sheffield United have arguably signed better players this summer than they did 12 months ago when they were preparing for Premier League football.
Callum O’Hare, Kieffer Moore and Harrison Burrows have been added with strapping Leicester player Harry Souttar joining them on loan yesterday.
You might be wondering why we’re talking about United’s transfer business but the fact is that the signing of Souttar yesterday could now prove seriously detrimental to one Forest player this summer.

Latest Sheffield United signing could leave Forest star in limbo
There is a bit of a predicament brewing when it comes to Forest club captain Joe Worrall. The Reds want to get rid of him but quite simply can’t find a club to take him.
The only club that has made moves to sign Worrall – or even been linked with a move to sign him- is Sheffield United.
Coventry have been loosely linked but they have also bolstered their squad this summer.
With Chris Wilder now choosing to sign Souttar instead, it would surely mean that the Blades are out of the race to land Worrall this summer.
Worrall spent the second half of last season on loan with Besiktas – helping them win the Turkish Cup – and it’s perhaps strange that nothing else has happened for him.
The Forest defender was reported to have had a spat with Steve Cooper last season and that stopped him from making the squad in his final months in charge.
However, the fact remains that Worrall is a solid defender – particularly at Championship level – and it’s extremely worrying that United, who wanted him, have now signed someone else.
Worrall will deserve credit when he does leave Forest
Right now, most fans are unanimous that Worrall shouldn’t be a part of the Forest squad preparing for a Premier League campaign.
His solid performances at top-flight level can probably be counted on a single hand and it’s hard to imagine him being considered a Premier League regular right now.
Worrall does deserve credit for his service to the football club when the time does come for him to wave his goodbyes.
He cut an emotional figure on the Wembley turf after the Play-Off Final win and is a player who has made 226 appearances for the football club.
Worrall has risen from youth starlet to club captain and for a player born and bred in Hucknall, he does at least deserve a nod of appreciation for that.
Sheffield United signing Souttar yesterday is a blow for Worrall, however,
Coventry have also been linked with a move for him this summer but it’s not looking increasingly likely that the defender is facing a period where his future is in limbo.
