Nottingham Forest are trying to get the squad completed ahead of the Premier League curtain-raiser on Saturday against Bournemouth.
The Reds have been relatively active this season – although perhaps not by the usual benchmark that has been set during the last two summer windows.
Forest have welcomed six new additions to the ranks with Elliot Anderson, Jota Silva and Nikola Milenkovic likely the pick of the bunch.
Although Forest will want some more players to arrive at the City Ground, there could still be some players who head in the other direction.
Neco Williams has been linked with a move to Atalanta and there are also a few surplus players that Nuno Espirito Santo will want to shift.
Now, there is another player who is attracting interest this summer – and it’s a move that could prove tricky for any player to turn down.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo wanted AC Milan
The Serie A giants want to strengthen their midfield ranks and now the Forest star is the latest to be added to the shortlist.
According to reports in Italy, Danilo is now the latest name to be added to the list as they search for a new midfielder.
Intriguingly one of the names high up the list is Youssouf Fofana who was linked with Forest last summer before the club signed Ibrahim Sangare.
But, Danilo is the new name on the list and that will have some Forest fans enduring sleepless nights.
The Brazilian has been magnificent since checking in on Trentside in January 2023. He’s made 49 appearances for the club, registering 10 goal contributions.
He only cost the club £16 million and now another journalist Gianluigi Longari has claimed that Forest want to recoup £40 million for Danilo.
Forest should do whatever it takes to keep Danilo
The Reds do have a plethora of midfielders at the football club but Danilo has something a little bit of a different style.
At 23 he has bags of time to develop yet and he’s capable of making a difference at both ends of the pitch.
Danilo coming into the team last season coincided with Forest looking more dangerous on the offensive and his link-up with Morgan Gibbs-White was fantastic.
Still, Forest will know their position in the food chain and it’s good that the club has slapped £40 million on Danilo’s head straight away.
Now, Milan know exactly where Forest stand and the ball is very much in their court as to whether or not they make a bid or not.
